Our island home is known for its beautiful beaches and
incredible surf, but it's also facing a serious waste
management challenge. We know we can’t change the
world overnight, we’re committed to doing our part.
Our
mission is to be part of the hands-on solution—
creating a
positive impact and a cleaner island, one
recycled surf
rack at a time.
From beach trash to board racks. Every surfer knows the frustration of paddling through plastic or dodging trash in the waves. So we decided to turn the tide! We collect and recycle local Balinese plastic and discarded flip-flops, transforming them into surfboard racks that give waste a new purpose. Want to know more?
Our racks are made from high-density polyethylene (hdpe) and polypropylene (pp)—two types of plastic that are strong, durable, and ideal for repurposing. hdpe and pp create sturdy, weather-resistant products that are perfect for surfboard storage, ensuring your rack stands up to the elements without cracking, breaking, or wearing out too soon.
Education is a core part of our mission. Bali Board Racks is a partner of the School of
Recycling Indonesia, where we inspire young minds to think differently about waste.
Our factory opens its doors to schools, welcoming students for hands-on learning
experiences where they can see the recycling process up close.
And we’re excited to take our school of recycling online soon, so kids across
Indonesia can learn about recycling from anywhere.
We’re dedicated to minimizing our environmental footprint, and that starts in our factory. We strive for a zero-waste policy, reusing all our production materials wherever possible. Even our workbenches and drying racks are made from reclaimed pallet wood, and our washing machine? It was rescued from the jungle!
Smooth, quality surfaces.
Our r&d team works hard to
ensure that our plastic
sheets are as smooth as possible,
which means
minimal sanding. This helps us reduce
microplastics,
keeping our products safe and sustainable
from
start to finish.
We’re proud of the steps we’ve taken but know our journey doesn’t stop here. Every day, we’re looking for ways to make improvements—whether it’s finding new recycling methods, working with suppliers who share our values, or refining our production process. After all, this planet is a pretty amazing place. Let’s work together to keep it that way.
